Service degradation via malformed-message flood

Denial of service in Ericsson Packet Core Controller before 1.39 allows remote attackers to degrade service with crafted messages. Ericsson identifies improper handling of syntactically invalid message structures but has not disclosed the affected parser or exact faulty operation. The attack requires no credentials or user interaction, affects availability only, and requires sending a large message volume from an adjacent network.
