CVE-2025-59172

Root code execution via OS command injection

Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026

OS command injection in Ericsson Packet Core Controller before 1.38 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code as root from an adjacent network. Ericsson has not disclosed the affected command-construction locus; it fails to neutralize special elements in attacker-controlled input before invoking an OS command. Exploitation requires high privileges and adjacent-network access, and successful injection grants root-level control of the affected node.
