CVE-2025-59109

PIN disclosure via exposed UART keystroke output

Published Jan 26, 2026 · Updated Jan 26, 2026

Information disclosure in dormakaba Registration Unit 90 02 before SW0039 allows physically proximate attackers to capture entered PINs. The PIN pad transmits every button press over an exposed rear UART header, allowing an attached hardware implant to record and relay PIN data. Exploitation requires physical device access, special equipment, removal and reinstallation of a manipulated unit; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
