CVE-2025-59095

PIN disclosure via hard-coded XOR key

Published Jan 26, 2026 · Updated Jan 26, 2026

Hard-coded key use in Kaba exos 9300 before 4.3.3 allows local users to decrypt PINs stored in its MSSQL database. The EncryptAndDecrypt function in Kaba.EXOS.common.dll applies a static, founder-name-derived key with a simple XOR-and-shift routine to every input character. Local low-privileged access and access to encrypted values are required; disclosure is limited to values protected by this routine, including user PINs.
