CVE-2025-59054

Guest-secret disclosure via unauthenticated LUKS2 metadata

Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025

Improper LUKS2 volume validation in Dstack TEE dstack before 0.5.4 allows attackers to disclose guest secrets via a crafted data disk. The resume path accepts unauthenticated LUKS2 metadata, opens null-cipher keyslots or volumes without error, and writes secrets under an attacker-controlled key. Control of the host-provided data device is required; exploitation exposes WireGuard keys and permits attacker-chosen persistent data to influence guest execution.
