Authenticated code execution via unchecked desc copy
Published Jun 9, 2025 · Updated Jun 10, 2025
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK T10 4.1.8cu.5207 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted desc value. The setWiFiAclRules handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi copies the attacker-controlled value into a fixed-size memory buffer without enforcing its length. Valid administrative access to the network management interface is required; exploitation can execute code in the router process or crash the service.
