CVE-2025-58903Network attack vector

HTTP daemon crash via unchecked API return

Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Unchecked return handling in the FortiOS API allows remote authenticated users to crash the HTTP daemon via a crafted request. The API fails to check a return value and then dereferences a null pointer while processing the request. Affected releases span 6.4.0 through 6.4.16, 7.0.0 through 7.0.18, 7.2.0 through 7.2.12, 7.4.0 through 7.4.8, and 7.6.0 through 7.6.3; high-privilege API access is required.
