CVE-2025-58782Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unguarded JNDI lookup

Published Sep 8, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Deserialization in Apache Jackrabbit Core and JCR Commons 1.0.0 through 2.22.1 allows remote attackers to execute code via JNDI lookup. JndiRepositoryFactory converts a caller-supplied repository URI and environment map into a JNDI lookup without an opt-in guard, allowing a malicious reference to be loaded and deserialized. Exploitation requires a deployment to pass an untrusted JNDI URI into JCR repository lookup; successful deserialization executes code in the host JVM.
