Application misconfiguration via retained inline comments
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 10, 2025
Improper input validation in datahihi1 tiny-env 1.0.9 through 1.0.10 allows local users to alter application behavior via crafted .env values. The parseAndSetEnvLine method treated the entire substring after the equals sign as a value because it did not remove a hash and following text outside quotes. Reachability requires influence over an application's .env file; affected programs can select insecure defaults, expose logic errors, or fail authentication.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
