Service interruption via sign-extended memory.fill offset
Published Sep 16, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025
Denial of service in Bytecode Alliance WAMR before 2.4.2 allows local users to hang or crash iwasm through crafted Wasm input. LLVM-JIT's check_bulk_memory_overflow passes a sign-extended offset of at least 2 GiB to LLVMBuildInBoundsGEP2, producing an invalid pointer. The affected build must enable LLVM-JIT and execute the crafted memory.fill instruction; release builds hang, while debug builds crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
