CVE-2025-58742

Credential interception via editable server redirection

Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026

Credential protection failure in Milner ImageDirector Capture 7.0.9 through 7.6.3.25807 allows local users to intercept database credentials. The Connection Settings dialog accepts a replacement Server value without clearing stored credentials or validating server certificates, then sends plaintext authentication data to the selected endpoint. A local user who can edit the dialog can point it at an attacker-controlled database server and capture the stored username and password.
