Stored XSS via unescaped navigation-menu titles

Stored cross-site scripting in WordPress 4.7 through 6.8.2 allows remote authenticated users with Author access to execute scripts. The navigation-menu interface concatenates attacker-controlled menu item names and types into HTML when building the pending-deletion list, causing stored markup to be interpreted instead of inserted as text. An Author or higher role must first save a crafted title, and script execution occurs when a privileged user opens and interacts with the affected menu interface.
