CVE-2025-58608Network attack vector

Contributor-level local file inclusion via shortcode view

Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2026

Local file inclusion in BuddyDev MediaPress 1.5.9.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to load server files via shortcodes. Affected gallery-display shortcode handlers use an untrusted view attribute to build a template path and pass the located path to PHP require without restricting the template-part name. Contributor-level access and permission to publish shortcode content are required; inclusion can disclose local file contents or execute attacker-controlled PHP already present on the server.
