Arbitrary Android activity launch via open redirect
Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025
Improper authorization in Samsung Account before 15.5.01.1 allows attackers to launch arbitrary Android activities. The application follows an attacker-controlled redirect to a site serving malicious content, then starts exported activities without enforcing the intended authorization boundary. ZDI reports unauthenticated remote reachability on Galaxy S25 devices, while Samsung classifies the vector as local; launched activities run with Samsung Account privilege.
