CVE-2025-58432Public exploit

Root privilege escalation via loopback upload bypass

Published Sep 17, 2025 · Updated Sep 17, 2025

Improper privilege management in ZimaOS 1.4.1 and earlier allows local users to gain root access through the uploadV2 endpoint. The endpoint skips its web-token check for IPv4 or IPv6 loopback requests and writes uploaded files with root privileges. A nonprivileged account with local shell access can place a sudoers rule under /etc/sudoers.d and then execute commands as root.
