CVE-2025-58429Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file deletion via simulator path traversal

Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025

Relative path traversal in AutomationDirect Productivity Suite 4.4.1.19 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files through the PLC simulator. ProductivityService accepts an untrusted deletion path without neutralizing traversal segments, allowing the resolved path to escape its intended directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful requests can remove host files and interrupt dependent operations.
