Memory disclosure via unchecked EMF spacing offset
Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Canva Affinity for Windows before 3.1.0 allows attackers to disclose process memory via a crafted EMF file. The EMR_EXTTEXTOUTW parser accepts an offDx offset larger than recordSize and uses it to read the intercharacter-spacing array beyond the record. Exploitation requires a user to open the file; the demonstrated consequence is an application crash, while the published record also bounds potential disclosure to process memory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
