CVE-2025-58422Network attack vector

Operation-history tampering via unverified request username

Published Sep 8, 2025 · Updated Sep 8, 2025

Use of a less trusted source in RICOH Streamline NX 3.5.1 through 24R3 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to alter operation history. Several Administration Tool functions record the acting username directly from an HTTP request value without independently verifying its identity. An attacker positioned to modify unencrypted management traffic can falsify the username attributed to an operation, undermining audit-log integrity without changing the operation itself.
