Kernel exceptions via stale-resource reference imbalance
Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Dec 1, 2025
Use-after-free in Imagination Technologies Graphics DDK allows local users to trigger kernel exceptions via improper GPU system calls. PVRSRVBridgeRGXSubmitTransfer2 mishandles an error path, exposing stale resource handles whose reference counts can become unbalanced. Non-privileged software can prematurely destroy a still-used resource, leading to stale-data reads and a kernel write use-after-free in 1.15 RTM, 1.17 RTM, 1.18 RTM, and 23.2 RTM through 25.2 RTM2.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=1.15 RTM
- Affected versionversion=1.17 RTM
