CVE-2025-58323

SYSTEM privilege escalation via arbitrary file execution

Published Aug 29, 2025 · Updated Aug 29, 2025

Incorrect privilege assignment in NAVER MYBOX Explorer for Windows before 3.0.8.133 allows local users to execute files as SYSTEM. The affected code accepts an attacker-selected file for privileged execution without enforcing the required privilege check; the vendor does not name the process or function. A local foothold is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-chosen files under NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, enabling privileged data access and modification.
