Authentication bypass via unchecked configuration-file path
Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Sep 11, 2025
Path traversal in Delta Electronics DIALink 1.6.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite configuration files without authentication. The TCP 7631 web service uses a user-supplied path in file operations without validating that it remains in an allowed directory. The service listens on TCP port 7631 by default, so network reachability is sufficient to alter configuration and bypass authentication.
