Insufficient software-update validation in Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX 3.05 allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary code. The update-verification process authenticates an update without validating all of its data, allowing modified content to be accepted as trusted. Physical access is required, but neither authentication nor user interaction is required; successful exploitation runs code in the device context.
