Physical code execution via unchecked JSON copy
Published Jun 25, 2025 · Updated Jun 26, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Autel MaxiCharger AC Wallbox Commercial 1.36.00 allows physically proximate attackers to execute code. The JSON message handler copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating its length. Physical access to the charger is required, but authentication is not; successful exploitation runs arbitrary code in the device context.
