Service interruption via improper exception handling
Published Oct 11, 2025 · Updated Oct 11, 2025
Improper exception handling in the print module of HarmonyOS 5.0.1 and 5.1.0 allows local users to interrupt service. Huawei has not disclosed the exception path, attacker-controlled input, or the operation that mishandles it. Local access is required with no prior privileges or user interaction, and the vendor reports availability impact without identifying whether the print service hangs, crashes, or otherwise stops.
