Administrator account takeover via mismatched social-login identity

Published Aug 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Authentication bypass in Case Theme User 1.0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to access administrator accounts via social login. In facebook_ajax_login_callback(), the code authenticates a predictable temporary username, then uses the request-supplied email to issue a different user's cookie. Exploitation requires an existing temporary account and the target administrator's email; success grants full access to that account.
