Unauthenticated SSRF via unchecked image URLs
Published Sep 4, 2025 · Updated Sep 5, 2025
SSRF in Astro's Cloudflare adapter 11.0.3 through 12.6.5 allows remote attackers to fetch unauthorized URLs through /_image. The Cloudflare image endpoint passes the unvalidated href parameter to fetch without applying the configured domain or remote-pattern allowlist. Exposure requires a Cloudflare deployment using server output and the default compile image service; successful requests can proxy unauthorized content from the site's origin.
