Traffic interception via unverified TLS certificates

Improper certificate validation in the Checkmk Exchange VMware vSAN plug-in allows remote attackers to intercept its TLS traffic. The plug-in's outbound vSAN connection establishes TLS sessions without performing certificate verification, allowing a network-path attacker to impersonate the monitored endpoint. Exploitation requires a machine-in-the-middle position and exposes confidential monitoring traffic while permitting tampering with data returned to Checkmk.
