CVE-2025-58062Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Command execution via unsanitized authorization URL

Published Aug 28, 2025 · Updated Aug 29, 2025

OS command injection in openmcp-client before 0.1.12 allows remote attackers to execute commands on Windows through a malicious authorization URL. The OAuthClient.openBrowser method passes the server-supplied authorization endpoint directly to the shell-sensitive open() handler without sanitization. Exploitation requires a user to connect to an attacker-controlled MCP server, after which injected shell syntax runs with the client's privileges.
