Unauthorized member creation via misapplied route permission
Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Galette 0.9.6 and later, before 1.2.0, allows remote authenticated users with group-manager access to create members. The addMember GET route remains reachable when group-manager member creation is disabled because the route accepts the enabled child-creation permission. Exploitation requires a group-manager account and that rights configuration, yielding unauthorized member records and related changes.
