CVE-2025-58049Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via persistent PDF job cookies

Published Aug 28, 2025 · Updated Aug 28, 2025

Sensitive-data exposure in XWiki Platform allows remote authenticated users to recover PDF exporters' credentials from saved job statuses. The PDFExportJob request copies HTTP cookies into its context, and completed job statuses serialize that context in the permanent directory without removing the cookies. Access to the data directory or a backup also exposes the colocated encryption key, making stored username-and-password cookies recoverable; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
