Contributor-level stored XSS
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in BuddyDev WordPress Widgets Shortcode 1.0.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. Public advisories identify insufficient input sanitization and output escaping but do not disclose the vulnerable function or input field. Contributor-level access is required, and the injected script executes in a visitor's browser when the affected post or page is viewed, permitting actions within that visitor's session.
