Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Ben Huson's WP Subtitle 3.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted subtitles. The plugin stores subtitle custom-field input without sufficient sanitization and renders it through display APIs without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the script runs in a visitor's browser when an affected page displays the stored subtitle.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
