Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped page content
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in WP CodeUs WP Proposals 2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into pages. The plugin insufficiently sanitizes attacker-controlled page content and fails to escape it at output, so the stored script runs when the injected page is viewed. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, and exploitation occurs when another user opens the affected page.
