Router compromise via lanMask buffer overflow
Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda AC5 1.0/15.03.06.47 allows remote authenticated users to compromise the router through a crafted lanMask value. The fromadvsetlanip handler at /goform/AdvSetLanip processes the attacker-controlled lanMask value beyond its memory buffer. Access to the management endpoint with low privileges is required, and successful exploitation compromises router data and operation.
