Router compromise via oversized PPTP user list
Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda AC5 15.03.06.47 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt router memory via a crafted PPTP user list. The formSetPPTPUserList handler at /goform/setPptpUserList processes the list POST parameter without enforcing destination-buffer bounds. A valid low-privilege session is required, and successful exploitation grants control over the router or interrupts its service.
