Authenticated service interruption via service_type buffer overflow
Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Jun 6, 2025
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK X15 1.0.0-B20230714.1105 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service via an HTTP POST request. The /boafrm/formPortFw handler processes a crafted service_type argument without keeping the operation within the destination buffer. A valid management session is required, and public evidence does not establish the precise interruption mode or demonstrate code execution.
