Authenticated code execution via unbounded submit-url copy
Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK X15 1.0.0-B20230714.1105 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted HTTP POST. The /boafrm/formWsc handler fails to bound the submit-url value before copying it into memory, overrunning its destination buffer. Low-privilege management access is sufficient, and exploitation can crash the management service or execute code on the router.
