System crash via improperly initialized RRC memory
Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026
Improper memory initialization in Samsung Exynos RRC allows remote attackers to crash affected systems with malformed RRCReconfiguration messages. The RRC component fails to initialize memory correctly before processing an untrusted RRCReconfiguration message, leading to an illegal memory access. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to a system crash without reported data disclosure or modification.
