Account compromise via shared login rate limit
Published Sep 8, 2025 · Updated Sep 8, 2025
Improper authentication-attempt restriction in Fides before 2.69.1 allows remote attackers to test credentials through the Admin UI login. The login endpoint shares a high-volume, system-wide IP rate-limit bucket instead of applying authentication-specific anti-automation controls. Successful access requires a weak, commonly guessed, or previously compromised password and grants the privileges of the affected account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
