Authenticated code execution via unchecked call_user_func callback
Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 25, 2025
Twig SSTI in Craft CMS 4.0.0-RC1 through 4.16.5 and 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.8.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The Twig Extension checkArrowFunction denylist failed to reject call_user_func, allowing administrator-supplied arrow callbacks to invoke otherwise restricted PHP callables. Exploitation requires administrator access to the Control Panel and allowAdminChanges enabled; successful use executes code with the web application's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 4.0.0-RC1, < 4.16.6
