Authenticated code execution via insufficient upload validation
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Explorance Blue before 8.14.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via its administrative interface. The upload handler accepts an administrator-controlled filename and extension despite validation checks, writes the crafted file to the server, and permits it to be triggered as executable code. Administrative privileges and a crafted payload are required; successful exploitation yields full server-side remote code execution under default configurations.
