Authenticated code execution via unsandboxed Groovy implementations
Published Oct 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 20, 2025
Improper isolation in Apache Syncope affected releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code on the Core server. ImplementationManager compiles and loads administrator-supplied Groovy interface implementations without restricting their access to JVM capabilities. The attacker must hold delegated administrative rights to upload implementations; execution then inherits the Core process's access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.1 <=2.1.14
- Affected versionversion=3.0 <=3.0.13
- Affected versionversion=4.0 <=4.0.1
