Stored script execution via Mermaid diagram content
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025
Stored XSS in JetBrains YouTrack before 2025.2.92387 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through Mermaid diagram content. JetBrains identifies the Mermaid diagram content path but has not disclosed the parser or sanitizer operation that permits the stored payload to reach page rendering. Low-privileged access is required to store the content, and another user must view the diagram; execution can read or alter data in that user's browser context but does not interrupt the service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
