Authenticated memory corruption and crashes via heap overflow
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in QNAP Qsync Central before 5.0.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to modify memory or crash processes. QNAP has not disclosed the affected function, protocol message, input field, or buffer operation that writes beyond the heap allocation. A valid user account and network access to the NAS are required; successful exploitation corrupts process memory or terminates the affected process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
