Stored XSS via unsanitized Text block HTML
Published Sep 26, 2025 · Updated Sep 26, 2025
Stored XSS in PiranhaCMS 12.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via /manager/pages. The Text content block for Standard and Standard Archive Pages stores user-supplied HTML without sanitization and renders it on save, preview, and page access. Low-privileged manager access is required, and execution depends on another user opening the affected page or preview, exposing that user's browser data and session.
