Cross-site scripting via unsanitized link destinations
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Element Plus Link through 2.10.6 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted href values. The el-link component copies its href prop directly into an HTML anchor without validating URL schemes or sanitizing the destination. Exploitation requires an application to supply attacker-controlled link data; a crafted javascript URL executes in a user's browser when activated, while external URLs enable phishing redirects.
