Service crash via oversized HTTP parameter

Published Sep 23, 2025 · Updated Sep 23, 2025

Buffer overflow in D-Link DI-7100G firmware 2020-02-21 C1 allows remote attackers to crash the jhttpd service via HTTP. The CVE record names sub_451754 and viav4, while its referenced proof of concept identifies dbsrv.asp and an excessively long str query value that produces a stack overflow. The proof-of-concept request carries an administrator cookie, although CISA-ADP rates privileges as unnecessary; only service interruption is validated, not code execution.
