Unauthenticated log injection via bulk API endpoint
Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025
Log injection in CubeAPM nightly-2025-08-01-1 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary production log entries via a bulk API request. The /api/logs/insert/elasticsearch/_bulk endpoint accepts unauthenticated bulk log data and passes it into the production log pipeline without authentication or input validation. Network access to the endpoint is sufficient to forge entries, poison logs, obscure alerts, and degrade observability-pipeline performance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
