Local code execution via unsigned network plugin loading
Published Oct 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Unsafe plugin loading in Bambu Lab Bambu Studio 2.1.1.52 and earlier allows local users to execute code at application startup. NetworkAgent loads a networking module from a user-writable location without confirming that its signing certificate matches the signed main executable. Write access to the expected plugin location is required, and injected code runs with the privileges of the user who launches the application.
