Manager-to-administrator escalation via endpoint replacement
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
Broken access control in 2wcom IP-4c 2.15.5 allows remote authenticated users to reach administrator-only web endpoints. The web interface accepts a manager session on protected endpoints after the request path is replaced, without enforcing the administrator role. Manager-level access and request interception are required; the bypass exposes administrative functions that can disclose settings, change configuration, or interrupt service.
